Scilla violacea, also known as Leopard Lily, is a species of flowering plant in the Asparagaceae family. It is native to the Mediterranean region and often found in rocky areas, scrubland and on the edge of woods. This plant is a bulbous perennial, it has long, narrow leaves and produces spikes of small, star-shaped flowers in shades of blue, purple or white. The flowers are usually profuse and appear in spring, the flowers are often followed by small, round berries.
