String of Turtles, or Peperomia Prostrata, is a small trailing plant that belongs to the Peperomia family. It is native to South America and is characterized by its unique leaf shape and pattern. The leaves of the String of Turtles are small, round, and slightly cupped, with a dark green base color and a pattern of lighter green, silver, or cream-colored stripes that resemble the markings on a turtle shell.

String of Turtles plant grows to a height of about six inches and spreads out to form a dense mat of foliage, making it an excellent choice for a hanging basket or as a trailing plant on a windowsill or shelf. It prefers bright, indirect light, but it can tolerate low light conditions.

String of Turtles plant is relatively easy to care for and prefers a well-draining potting mix that is allowed to dry out slightly between waterings. Overwatering can cause the plant to rot, so it is important to ensure that the soil is not constantly moist.
