Aeschynanthus radicans, commonly known as the "Lipstick Plant," is a popular houseplant known for its attractive, tubular red flowers.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

Light:
- Provide bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.
- Lipstick plants can tolerate lower light conditions, but they may not bloom as profusely.

Temperature:
- Maintain temperatures between 60-80°F (15-27°C). Protect the plant from drafts and sudden temperature changes.

Watering:
- Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Allow the top inch (2.5 cm) of soil to dry out before watering.
- Water more sparingly during the winter when the plant is not actively growing.

Humidity:
- Lipstick plants prefer higher humidity. You can increase humidity by misting the plant, placing a tray of water near it, or using a humidifier.

Soil:
- Use a well-draining potting mix rich in organic matter. An orchid mix or a mix designed for African violets can work well.

Fertilization:
- Feed the plant with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer) every 2-4 weeks. Reduce or eliminate fertilizer in the fall and winter.
